Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy applies to residents of Washington and Nevada, and to anyone whose consumer health data is collected in those states. It explains which consumer health data screenme.science collects, why, with whom it is shared and how you can use your rights. It is part of our Privacy Policy, which has the full details.

1. Consumer health data we collect

The test you take (its type), the video of you carrying it out, still images taken from it, photographs of the test cassette, the result read from it and the outcome of the screening; your face photos and the face comparison, which are biometric data; and that you take part in a screening programme.

If you take screenings, the outcome of the one-time identity check before your first screening and your name as read from your identity document; the identity document and the selfie are processed by our identity verification service, Didit, and are not kept by us.

2. Where it comes from

From you, when you record a screening in the app; from the coordinator of your programme, who reads and records the result of your test; and from our analysis of your recording.

3. Why we collect and use it

Only to provide the screening you or your programme asked for: to verify that the test procedure was followed by the invited person, to record the result and to issue a record of the screening. We collect and use consumer health data only with your consent, or as necessary to provide the service you asked for.

4. With whom we share it

With the service providers that process it on our behalf, listed in section 8 of our Privacy Policy; with the coordinator of your programme (whether you completed each screening, whether it was verified, and its result); and with anyone you choose to share a screening record with. We share it with nobody else, except where the law requires it.

If you pay for or share a screening through a company's link, we share it with the companies you choose: your name, "Identity verified", whether and when the screening was done, whether it was verified, its result and a cropped photo of the test cassette — only with your consent, which you can withdraw for each company at any time in the app.

5. No sale

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use geofencing.

6. Your rights

You have the right to confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data and to access it, including a list of the third parties and affiliates we share it with; to withdraw your consent; and to have your consumer health data deleted.

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We answer within 45 days; where the law allows, we may extend this once by another 45 days and will tell you why. If we refuse your request, you may appeal by replying to our answer or by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Appeal"; we decide within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the attorney general of your state.
