The self-report problem
Citizen-science and surveillance studies that ship self-test kits to participants depend on honest, accurate reporting. Adherence to the protocol is unknown, misreads go undetected, and the person tested may not be the enrolled participant.
How it works in a study
Participants are enrolled with consent. They test at home on camera at the intervals the protocol sets; ScreenMe verifies the procedure and the participant's identity and records the result with date and time. The study team sees adherence and results per participant and exports the dataset.

Ethics and data
Participants control sharing and can withdraw. Data is encrypted, hosted in the EU and processed under a data processing agreement; pseudonymised export is available. ScreenMe supports the documentation ethics committees ask for.
