A photograph of a test strip does not establish who performed the test or when. An on-site testing facility requires staff, space and up to an hour of each attendee's time. Both approaches were used at scale during the pandemic and are difficult for organisers to repeat during a flu season.
How the service is used for events
Attendees receive a screenme.science link with their ticket. They test at home on the morning of the event, on camera; screenme.science verifies the test and ties the result to the invited attendee. At the entrance, staff check a verified status on the attendee's phone or the organiser's list. Testing is performed off-site, without sample handling at the venue.
