Universities have thousands of students and staff across many sites, with lectures that start early in the day. During the pandemic, self-reporting was the only scalable option, but it could not be verified; testing centres provided verification but required a building, staff and student time.
Implementation in university settings
The university invites students and staff by email or through the student portal. Each person tests at home on their phone before coming to campus; screenme.science verifies the test and ties the result to the invited student, then issues a record. Faculties, halls of residence and sports clubs each see the status of their own participants.

Universities use screening before the start of term and after holidays, before in-person exams, in halls of residence during an outbreak, for sports teams before training and competition, and for visiting researchers and conference delegates.
Consent and privacy
Participation is voluntary. The data is used only to deliver the screening and is never sold, and recordings and photos are deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy.
Pricing
Tests are purchased in prepaid packs of 20 to 400 tests that do not expire. There is no subscription. No additional payment is required during periods when screening credits are not used. Quotes for larger cohorts are available on request.
