Why parent declarations were never enough

During the pandemic most schools relied on a signed note from parents saying a self-test was negative. A note proves nothing about whether the test happened, whether it was done properly, or which child was tested, and staff spent hours collecting them. Supervised testing in the classroom fixed the trust problem and created a new one: teaching time and staff spent on swabs.

How it works for a school

The school invites families. A parent performs the test on the child at home, on camera, following the kit instructions. ScreenMe verifies the test and the child's identity as enrolled by the parent, and the school sees in its dashboard which children have a verified screening before the day begins.

Screening before the first day after holidays. Weekly screening during a flu or RSV wave. Screening before a school trip, a sports day or a performance. Kindergartens can screen daily during an outbreak without any staff involvement.

Consent and privacy

Participation is voluntary and organised by the parent. Parents decide which school or club may see a child's results, data is encrypted, and retention is limited to what the purpose requires. ScreenMe is GDPR-compliant and suitable for use with minors under parental control.

Works with the kits parents can buy

Influenza A/B, RSV, COVID-19 and combination self-tests from any brand, nasal or saliva sample; saliva kits are often easier with young children.
