What is screenme.science?
screenme.science verifies rapid tests performed remotely, so organisations can run at-home self-testing with any nasal swab rapid test (for example COVID-19, flu or RSV) without in-person supervision and keep an auditable record.
Who is it for?
Employers, schools and kindergartens, universities, event organisers, healthcare programmes and research studies: any organised group that needs many people tested.
Is screenme.science a medical device or a diagnosis?
No. It verifies that the self-test was taken by the person who holds the account, that a new, unused cassette was used, and that the screening followed the kit's instructions. screenme.science does not read or interpret the result. The kit remains the diagnostic product.
Tests
Which test kits does screenme.science work with?
Any nasal swab rapid test, of any brand — for example COVID-19, influenza, RSV or combination kits.
Does the organisation have to supply the kits?
No. Participants can use kits from any pharmacy; organisations may supply kits if they prefer.
How fast is a result?
As fast as the kit, usually 15 minutes; the timestamped record follows immediately after verification.
Trust
How do I know a participant really tested?
Every screening is performed on camera and the required steps of the procedure are checked, and the screening is tied to the invited participant. You receive a timestamped record for each screening.
What if a screening cannot be verified?
It is not shown as verified; the participant is asked to repeat the test.
Can the record be used as official proof?
It is screenme.science's verified record of the screening. Whether a third party accepts it depends on their rules; many organisations accept it for internal purposes.
Running a programme
Does running a programme need extra staff?
No. No supervisor is needed; coordinators only see each participant's status.
Do participants need an app?
No. screenme.science runs in the phone's browser in thirteen languages.
Can I run screening for several sites?
Yes. Cost does not rise with the number of sites.
Privacy
How is participant privacy protected?
Data is encrypted, and retention is limited to what the purpose requires. The data is used only to deliver the screening and is never sold, and recordings and photos are deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy.
Does the organisation see the video?
No. The coordinator sees the status, the timestamped record and a cropped photo of the test cassette — never the video, and never an image of the face from a screening.
